The library includes 20 species, each with nine 3D models of the plant in different ages and sizes for a total of 180 highly detailed, fully textured new models. This set of nine botanically correct ages and variations are modeled by hand, not randomly produced, to give maximum variety for instancing the models across a virtual terrain: essential for recreating the ecosystems of Asia.
XfrogPlants Asia is available in all popular 3D formats, Maya, Cinema 4D, Max, OBJ, Lightwave, and 3ds Max, and includes 1600 x 1600 Billboards and 1600 x 1600 Perspective Renders, each with alpha, for single polygon opacity mapping, or direct compositing.
Additionally, this library was created with Xfrog 5 for Maya 2011, a first for our libraries. Inside Xfrog 5 for Maya, each plant has Xfrog hierarchical structure, which Xfrog 5 Maya users can edit and animate growth, form, branching, gravitropism, phototropism, and MORE!
