Notes: The Bristlecone Pine is reputed to be the longest-living tree species, with living exemplars that are known to be 5.600 years old. It grows in full sunlight, on poor, dry, rocky soils, alkaline or acidic. It grows extremely slowly and in spite of the venerable age it can reach, it does not grow tall.
