Notes:Ginger is largely cultivated through all the tropical and subtropical regions of the world. It is however native of Eastern Asia. Ginger is a very well known plant for the food and medication uses of it’s root. It is one of the main spices in today’s kitchen. It is also used as flavoring for drinks. It’s anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties are well appreciated for medications as well. What Ginger is less known for, it’s the flowers. And yet, it is one of the most beautiful and colorful in the whole realm of flowers. The Ginger is cold-intolerant (the minimum night temperature it can stand is 15°C) and therefore in temperate regions it is strictly an indoors plant.
