Notes:Dracaena is an African genus of arboreal plants. The Dragon Tree owes hisname to the myth of the 11th labour of Hercules, who killed Landon, a hundredheadeddragon whose blood gave birth to this tree. A very slow grower, it takesit 15 or more years to reach an height of 1 meter! It is flowering that causesthe branches to split, which happens regularly every 10 years and gives thisplant it’s regular shape. The Dragon Tree can live very long, over 1000 years.
