Wind effects and pruning

Postby nrwray » Wed Aug 15, 2012 12:23 pm

Hi,

I'm fairly new to X Frog and had a question about simulating wind fx on a pruned tree. It would seem to me that if you add wind as is done on the X Frog tutorial then prune it also as shown in the pruning tutorial then the tree would be actively trimmed as it moved thru the prune volume. I haven't tried this. But it seems to me that what would happen. Is there a work around for this? Can I prune a tree and also add a wind movement and not have the tree get actively trimmed every frame?

Thanks,
Niel

pruning will be evaluated each frame, Niel assumes right when he says " then the tree would be actively trimmed"
