Flamingo Lily

1. Q: Where are you from and how did you get involved with computer graphics, and how long ago?
A: I’m from Nice (France), I am French, 44 years old, and my interest for CG came long time ago with Atari/Amiga computers (using softwares like Vista or Scenery) and from the first Imagina festivals in Monaco in 80’s and 90’s. End of 90’s, I was one of first user of Terragen software, and since it I am involved as beta tester.
2. Q: Do you use computer graphics for work or personal art, or both?
A: Personal because CG is an hobby and my main area of interest is creating virtual landscapes scenes.

3. Q: Do you have artistic training/background or self-taught? Where did you study and what?
A: I am self-taught

4. Q: What software do you use?
A: I use Terragen from Planetside software.

5. Q: How did you find Xfrog and XfrogPlants? Do you use Xfrog, XfrogPlants or both?
A: When Terragen was able to import objects and making populations, I looked for compatible models to make some tests, then I found Xfrog libraries.

6. Q: Do you more enjoy modeling plants, creating ecosystems or making background elements for architecture?
A: I simply try to make nice pictures, thinking like a photographer for light, composition and now (from Terragen 3) with depth of field.

7. Q: What feature would you like to see in Xfrog?
A: I have never used it, so I can’t say

8. Q: What plants would you like to have as next library produced by Xfrog?
A: It would be nice to have ready clusters of grass for Terragen and more groundcover (like dead leaves and branchs, fungi, mosse). Also what I would like to have are some snow covered tree models..
Zebra Plant

9. Q: What is your favorite thing about Xfrog and XfrogPlants?
A: The amount of models and all their variations. I like also the notes provided in each documentation which helps to make credible landscapes.

10. Q: what would you like to see improved about Xfrog and XfrogPlants?
A: To have more high resolution models (polygons and textures) for the close ups.
